Thank you for your interest in applying for the Carrie Hill Tatum Memorial Scholarship.   Each year, the Fredericksburg Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors in our service area.  If you attend high school in the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford, or the City of Fredericksburg you are eligible for one of ten (10) $1,000 scholarships. In order to complete, save, and print the application, please download it here and save it to your computer.

Please be sure to submit ALL of the following documents for consideration:

 

1. A completed and signed application.

2. A one-page, double spaced essay responding to the prompt listed in the application.

3. A list of extra-curricular, scholastic, and community activities you've been involved in throughout high school.

4. A list of any recent extra-curricular and scholastic accomplishments.

5. Your official transcript.

6. Copies of your SAT and/or ACT scores

7. Two Letters of Recommendation on official school letterhead (one from an academic teacher and one from a school official)

Following application reviews, we will schedule MANDATORY in-person interviews before final selections occur.

APPLICATIONS POSTMARKED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
